Llandudno Music have been appointed the UK's newest NORD dealership.


Llandudno's MD Gareth Hughes said: "We are very fortunate and pleased to be associated with this prestige brand and are looking forward to presenting the products to our customers". We will be creating a "walk-in and play" display area at our store in North Wales which will include the Nord Stage, Nord Electro 2, the amazing NordWave synthesizer and the C1 Combo Organ. Between September and November ,  teams of fully qualified Yamaha Music School teachers will provide inspiring  ' Music-Encounters' opportunities to up to 600 children a day in over 300 primary school locations throughout the UK . The 'Music Encounters' Scheme builds on the award winning and highly acclaimed success of the three year VISION schools Road-show which gave over 35,000 students the opportunity to play an instrument and take part in a professionally produced music performance.

The Teaching team will present , perform and discuss a wide range of musical styles and then involve the young students in getting 'hands-on' with  instruments. Following each visit the pupils will receive a free lesson voucher which can be subsequently redeemed at the Music School.

The Llandudno school is one of over  90 Yamaha Music School Locations throughout the UK which teach over 9,000 students of all ages every week tuition includes keyboard, guitar, drums and vocals. 30 of the locations are Yamaha – State School Partnerships where they act as community music resources outside school hours as well as delivering curriculum requirements .

Yamaha Music School UK manager Nigel Burrows comments ' We know from our previous school tours that there is a huge amount of un-tapped creative talent in  classrooms throughout the UK. The  Music Encounters scheme aims to support non-specialist teachers in initially identifying this and inspiring these young people to take their interest further through the free lesson scheme,"
