The DK2M has an alder body with a flame maple cap on translucent finishes, a bolt on maple neck with a compound radius maple fingerboard, genuine Seymour Duncan pickups and a Jackson low-profile locking tremolo. This guitar performs amazingly on any amp setting you throw at it, the Seymour duncans retaining the clarity and string separation even on the most extreme high gain setting, and providing warm glassy tones on the clean side of things.
