The Qwik Tune QT-12 is a chromatic tuner, which means it can be used to tune any instrument with either the on board microphone, or via the jack input. It is automatic, which makes it ideal for a beginner, and has on board pitch pipes for tuning in an instrument from scratch.

The Freshman F2 is a chromatic tuner which clips on to the headstock of your guitar and works by picking up the vibrations, much like a Piezo pickup. This means that you do not have to keep another pedal in the signal chain, or unplug and plug into a tuner, as the F2 can sit on the headstock out of the way, but always ready for action!
